Selling online has now gotten a lot easier with thanks to social media. Not only can you market and boost brand awareness, your customers can now buy your products at the click of a button.

Even though it was announced almost a year ago, Twitter has finally made the Buy Now button available on the platform to companies in the United States. This feature has been part of Pinterest for several months now.

Twitter’s Head of Commerce, Nathan Hubbard said: “The goal is to make it as easy as possible for companies to connect directly with, and sell to, customers on Twitter. With Buy Now, businesses can drive more conversion and remove much of the friction in the mobile purchasing process.”

Twitter’s Buy button is still a very new feature in its early stages of use, so we expect to see radical advances in the future that will make the experience even simpler.

With other major brands such as Best Buy, PacSun and Adidas all signing on, it’s clear the craze is sweeping and it will soon be the norm.

The good news for businesses wanting to try buyable pins is that Pinterest is not taking a portion of you hard earned sales. Instead what the site is hoping for is that they can boost performance from an increase in pins.

Major name brands, such as Macy’s were among the first to sign up. On average these retailers have seen a 7% increase in sales since they began using pins. You should also be taking the plunge to pins; you will be amazed at the impact it will have on your business.
